I am a French-Canadian HandiSwimmer (handi-: handicaped, disabled-able!), working towards the inclusion of Marfan elite athletes in future Paralympic Games. I got the Gold medal for the 100 meter freestyle in a NorthAm level competition in 2007; I was discovered in 2006, at age 32, for being 2nd, again at the 100 meter freestyle North-Am, but in Men ! I train to become the "Handi" version of Dara Torres, an awesome athlete.
I started a Ph.D. in Biology/medical engineering in 2004, but still have to put it on hold for health issues. It's unfortunate, coz I was doing great in that field.
Like Mick Mars, I deal with lots of pain on a daily basis, due to Marfan syndrome in my case & like Mick, seems it did not stopped me from KICKING ASS too !!! Lol. I think my life anthem is Kickstart my Heart !!!

I was a DJ at the student café 4 3 years. Learned 2 play the flute 4 15 years (Lauréat II). I know a couple of things about music in general too.

- I think Nelson Mandela (king of forgiveness) and Frida Kahlo are icons, while Patch Adams showed everybody how medicine should be praticed.
- We need people like the Général Roméo Dallaire & Louise Arbour in this World.
- I respect the discovery of insulin, Louis Pasteur & Sir Alexander Flemming too. Charles Darwin. G. Mendel. All almost untouchable science icons.
- What Ernesto "Tche" Guevara did for the poors still amazes me.
- Tina Turner & Aretha Franklin, Queen of Soul (HOW could I have forget her ??!!)
- The Earth needs David Suzuki, Hubert Reeves & Al Gore. I LOVE the decisions Arnold Schwarzenegger chooses to make, as Governor of you guys in California, for the environment.
- I respect & look upon great female athletes like Kim St-Pierre, Danielle Goyette, Dara Torres, Chantal Petitclerc, and Ana Ivanovitch.
- I am proud of Vincent Damphousse, because he is among the 100 best pointers of the NHL, he won the Stanley Cup as Co-Captain of the Montreal Canadians (he beat a certain... Wayne Gretzky!!!), he then became captain of the San Jose Sharks... and he is my cousin . His mom's the littl' sis of my grandpa.
- Madonna.

He still has a lot of unbeaten records, even 150 years later. 4300 pounds with his back, 553 pounds with his little finger, to the waist. Queen Victoria made him come by boat to Buckinham Palace to watch him retains... whiped horses with his bare hands. How many ? As much as...4; YEAH !!!!

Things of Interest:I like my actual flute; it's my 3rd one, offered to me by my grandmother. It is made of silver, sculpted by hand by an artist named S. Watanabe. It sounds just as awesome. I played the flute for nearly 27 000 hours. I'd be curious to know how many hours Nikki played his bass..
I love swimsuits so much I'd own 500 different ones, like Elton John who has I don't know how many hundreds of eyeglasses ! lol

I presume a Feminine Handi-version of this vid, on "Kickstart my Heart", wearing a Victoria's Secret bikini (a swimway instead of a runway ! lol), could be a good idea. Now if you're looking for your starring feminine handiswimmer... 100 meter freestyle gold-medallist (kind of a handi-feminine-swimming version of Usain Bolt (look for me, in 2012, in London))... I might have heard of one ;).
My craziest dream for a material belonging is a swimming pool, long enough so I can swim laps everyday.
Without necessarly owning them, I'd like to wear the creations of Mister Valentino Garavani, Giorgio Armani & Oscar de la Renta. In my own opinion (& obviously, I'm not the only one), what Mister Valentino does as a designer is "the ultimate visual caress to a woman's body a human being was able to achieve". If I had to choose just one piece that represents me the most, I think it would be the YSL's Smocking. Also indicated for Rock Star mood is Versace. Yeah !
I like tiny earings I can wear in the pool too.
I like my perfume too. It took me a while to find it ! I was explained that women's perfume are divided into 3 categories: flowers, fruits & spices/musk. Can't ask me to choose between those 3, coz I like flowers, fruits & spices just as much ! I was then introduced to a new fragrance by Vera Wang called.. Princess. Name's funny, but the scent is full. Even if I don't wear it everyday, I sniff the bottle daily; must like it a lot !  Band-Aid |
